We are always looking for help on Election Day! To be eligible, you must be 18 years old, live in town and be a registered voter. Election clerks enrolled in the major parties (Democratic and Republican) are needed; several shifts are scheduled throughout the day. Duties of election clerks include checking in voters, handing out ballots, tallying votes (some by machine and some by hand, depending on the type of election), and properly securing election materials at the end of the evening under the direction of the town clerks and Registrar of Voters.  Election wardens oversee the polls. Interested in becoming an election clerk or warden? Contact the town office.
