Tri-County Solid Waste Committee
Tri-Country Solid Waste Board of Directors members manage operations at the transfer station. There are directors from each member community. The Board of Directors meets every three months on Thursday evenings at rotating locations.
Washington representatives to Tri-County Solid Waste Board are Norman Casas - appointment expires May 1, 2025; Lee Shane - appointment expires May 1, 2025; and Sara Bullard, Alternate - appointment expires May 1, 2024.
Tri-County Solid Waste Organization Hours of Operation and Contact Information
Recycling services are provided through Tri-County Solid Waste Management Organization, at the Transfer Station located on Route 17 in Union. Hours of operation are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. Scales close at 4 p.m. sharp.
The Transfer Station is closed on major holidays.
Green bags for non-recyclable trash can be purchased for $2 each at Washington Town Office, Washington General Store or directly at the Transfer Station.
